Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma has been used for over 10 years for skin rejuvenation. The use of PRP is for skin, rejuvenation, acne scars rejuvenation around the eyes, and also rejuvenation of the upper lip. Studies have shown that PRP has around 578 different types of proteins like platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) . These proteins and growth factors lead to skin rejuvenation and hyaluronic acid production.

A small amount of the patient’s own blood is extracted and placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate platelets and plasma from red blood cells.

When injected into the skin, growth factors are released, stimulating the skin’s own healing ability. This promotes skin recovery and smoothing as well as stimulating collagen production, which essentially enables the treated area to tighten, plump and retain a youthful looking appearance.

Results are visible within a few days after the procedure.
